Conditions of use Observation.org
The following usage rules apply to all data available at Waarneming.nl, Waarnemingen.be, Observations.be and Observation.org, all associated working groups, as well as the data available through links to external websites (including but not limited to Vogelbescherming Nederland and Natuurmonumenten).
Observation.org and their sites and mobile apps are available for all persons and organizations to enter and manage their own data. In this construction it is our preference that permission is given for forwarding the data to other organizations. When using data collected through Observation.org you must state the correct source (see below). For an organization, data from employees who have given explicit permission for the use of their data, the data can be considered as personal data. Your own data can always be used for any desired purpose. In other words, your data is yours. Source acknowledgment (see below) is required. The use of data collected on the sites of Observation.org free for non-business use by private individuals. Business use of data from others via Waarneming.nl is not permitted without the explicit permission of Observation International, NDFF or Natuurpunt. You can request the user agreement for this at firstname.lastname@example.org. For personal data that is used for business use, and that cannot be shared in that context until the assignment is completed, we strongly prefer that an embargo is set no longer than strictly necessary, with a maximum of 2 years. If a longer embargo is necessary, please contact email@example.com. Use of Observation.org (including mobile applications) where the data is not uploaded, structurally deleted after export, or placed under a long embargo, falls under abuse of Observation.org. Anyone who misuses Observation.org can immediately be deprived of the right of use for an indefinite period of time. Parties that really cannot share their own data, but still want to use Observation.org and / or the corresponding mobile apps, can enter into a business agreement with NatuurBank Nederland for this purpose. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. If Observation.org is useful for you or your organization, then we hope that we can count on financial support. Become a sponsor of Observation.org, contact us at email@example.com. Do you have doubts about whether your use of Observation.org fits within these conditions, or do you have additional questions? Then always contact firstname.lastname@example.org
All multimedia (photos, sounds) on Waarneming.nl and related sites and mobile apps are subject to copyright. Unless otherwise specified, you require explicit permission from the author for the use of multimedia. The license for your own multimedia was set automatically when creating your account. You can change the license at any time in your account settings
The map material generated on Observation.org serves to illustrate the website. Private reuse of cards from Observation.org is permitted on condition that the source is correctly stated (see below). For business use of map material on other sites, in presentations, publications or other media, explicit permission from the administrators of Observation.org is required. Please contact email@example.com.
The correct text for acknowledgment of source is: "source: Observation.org, the website for nature information from Stichting Observation International, Natuurbank Nederland (NBNL), Natagora and Natuurpunt (https://waarneming.nl)" If only your own data is concerned, then use: "own data, collected with the help of Waarneming.nl (https://waarneming.nl)" If possible, make the https://waarneming.nl part clickable as a hyperlink. Preferably also include the Waarneming.nl and Natuurpunt logo when applicable. This logo is available in various resolutions and formats via firstname.lastname@example.org. If you want to use a different source, consult email@example.com (observation International) or firstname.lastname@example.org (NBNL) or email@example.com (Natuurpunt Studie) or firstname.lastname@example.org (Natagora). email@example.com.
